ADF Group’s contract included the engineering of connexions, fabrication and installation of the steel structure for the airport’s new terminal. The roof structure of the terminal is characterized by its elliptical and biconvex shape, as well as by its cantilever portion at the entrance of the concourse.
ADF fabricated 25 steel trusses of up to 60 meters in length and five meters in height required for the roof structure, which covers a radius of 38 meters. These steel structures were temporarily pre-assembled in our plant to ensure quick and perfect installation on site. Because of their size, these structures were shipped in sections and transported by waterway to the Port of San Juan.
