731 Lexington Avenue - Bloomberg Tower
New York, NY, U.S.A.
23,000 tons
This high-rise is made of three structures: a 54-floor
tower housing a nine-floor East podium with offices, hotel and condominiums;
an eight-floor West podium housing retail stores and offices; and a central
architectural element joining the two podiums, a six-floor canoidal curtainwall
(sloping ellipse) with a roof and skylight.
Some of the heaviest built-up, multi-connection nodes fabricated by ADF were installed
on the 28th to 31th floors of this building, and weighed up to 32 tons each.
