16,000 tons

This contract calls for the fabrication of the high-rise structural steel, of which 10,000 tons are required by heavy built-up columns which make up the core of the building.

The columns are composed of steel plates, most of them having a minimum thickness of 4 in and weighing from 24 to 39 tons each. Other built-up components (nodes) stand out due to their weight and connection complexity.
