Transport Infrastructures

Ranging from major construction projects to the rehabilitation of pedestrian, road and rail bridges to overpasses, automated people mover and underground transit systems, ADF Group has developed extensive expertise in this field, both at the connection engineering level and fabrication processes and handling methods in the plant and installation of heavy steel components and complex steel structures. In fact, the environment in which these steel structures are erected is more demanding due to road restrictions, urban constraints or the location of the sites.

This contract required the fabrication and installation of the levated, single and double, straight and curve, guideway structural steel box trusses of the airport people transit system, including the cable tray support steel and bracing system, a three kilometer long structure.

Rigorous fabrication requirements, aimed at the optimal ride comfort of passengers, a challenging installation logistic due to airport environment, and bridge and overpass restrictions, characterized this project. All structural steel works were executed according to the European metric system.

The transit system was installed at the Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto.
